More Than Cleaning

The Cornish Cleaning Company was founded by two women from very different industries who shared the same frustration.

Despite thousands of cleaning products on the market, we couldn't find one that was plant-based, powered by pure essential oils and delivered the professional results that hospitality businesses need every single day.

So we created our own.

Combining over a decade of professional housekeeping expertise with a passion for aromatherapy and wellbeing, we spent more than a year developing and testing a collection of multi-surface cleaners that genuinely work.

Today, our products are used across holiday homes, luxury properties and hospitality businesses, where guests consistently comment on two things: how beautifully clean the spaces feel and how incredible they smell.

Olivia

Olivia is the founder of Olivia's Cleaning Department, an award-winning cleaning and property management company that has been caring for holiday homes and luxury properties across Cornwall for more than ten years.

Managing multiple properties and leading a large housekeeping team gave Olivia a unique insight into the realities of professional cleaning.

She knew there had to be a better way.

Most natural cleaning products simply weren't delivering the standard required for hospitality properties. Glass smeared, surfaces lacked shine and cleaners were forced to carry and use multiple bottles throughout the day.

At the same time, her team were spending hours working around strong synthetic chemicals.

Olivia wanted one product that could clean beautifully across kitchens, bathrooms, glass, mirrors and living spaces, while creating a healthier environment for both guests and housekeepers.

The result has been transformational.

Not only are guests leaving five-star reviews and commenting on the scent as they walk through the door, but Olivia's team report feeling better too, thanks to using a plant based solution powered by pure essential oils.

Victoria

Victoria is the founder of Bryluen Botanicals, a Cornish botanical wellbeing brand rooted in the power of plants, scent and emotional wellbeing.

For the past three years, she has hosted more than 5,000 aromatherapy candle-making workshops, helping people discover the difference between synthetic fragrance and pure essential oils.

Bryluen Botanicals was born from a simple belief: natural products shouldn't require compromise.

Unable to find candles made entirely with the ingredients and values she believed in, Victoria began creating her own.

Over the years, working with thousands of customers, she became fascinated by the powerful relationship between scent and wellbeing.

For Victoria, scent should do more than smell beautiful.

It should help people feel calm, uplifted, grounded, energised or comforted. Pure essential oils have the ability to influence how we feel within a space, creating an experience that synthetic fragrances simply cannot replicate.

The Beginning

In 2024, Olivia attended one of Victoria's candle workshops and created a bespoke scent for her business.

What began as a conversation about scent quickly evolved into a much bigger idea.

Why couldn't a cleaning product smell this beautiful?

Why couldn't it be powered by plants?

And why couldn't it actually work?

Together, they spent the next year developing and testing formulations across real holiday homes and hospitality properties.

The result is a collection of professional-grade multi-surface cleaners powered by pure essential oils and designed to clean everything from kitchens and bathrooms to glass, mirrors and living spaces.
